Top new features in Femap 2406

• Teamcenter integration

The latest Femap 2406 release offers seamless integration with Teamcenter:

• • Easily open and save files directly to and from Teamcenter.
  • View essential Siemens account details, including login status and session information.

Additionally, Femap 2406 introduces support for openen .mod and .neu files.

• Layup builder enhancements

The Layup Builder has been significantly improved in Femap 2406. Key updates include:

• • Get notified to save changes when exiting the Layup Builder.
  • Update Layup Builder when deleting material.
  • Change names of HDF5 related commands, options and settings.
  • Bi-Direction composites HDF5 data exchange.
  • New options in the ‘Layup Creation’ tab.

• Import of Abaqus output requests
  • Simcenter Femap 2401 focused on importing other data contained in a STEP-file. Simcenter Femap 2406 is focused on importing output requests for Abaqus. Additional improvements are added to the Abaqus output requests dialog box and to the exports of the output requests. This ensures that the propagation re-specification and suppression of output requests are done in a consistent manner.

• Nastran modal analysis solver defaults
  • The MUMPS solver is now the default. Reverting to the solver used in previous versions before 2406 can be done by adding the SYSTEM(810)=0 system cell to the analysis set.
