Could you tell us where you currently stand in your study or career path, and what motivated you to apply for this position at Femto?

After obtaining my degree in Aerospace Engineering at Hogeschool Inholland Delft, I began the pre-master’s program in Astronomy at Leiden University last September. However, after some reflection, I realized that this path wasn’t the best fit for me. Consequently, I’ve made the decision to pursue a different master’s program starting next September: Aerospace Engineering at TU Delft. During this transition period, I was eager to gain practical experience at a dynamic technical company. Thankfully, through a recommendation from a friend at university, I found my way to this company.

What interests or hobbies do you have outside of your studies and work at Femto?

Recently, I’ve resumed my gym routine to improve my fitness level. Moreover, I find great pleasure in cooking. In addition to my role at Femto, I occasionally lend my culinary skills at Anne&Max, a charming café. Currently, I’m occupied with preparations for my admission to the pre-master’s program in Aerospace Engineering. Outside of work and academics, I cherish moments spent with friends, whether lounging on terraces or embarking on vacation adventures.

What appeals to you about the role of this position at Femto, and what do you hope to learn or achieve here?

At first, I was keen on joining the engineering team at Femto. However, there wasn’t a demand for additional support in that department at the moment. Thankfully, the Business Support Manager presented me with an alternative option: assisting in various areas including ICT, facility management, marketing, and commercial activities. Despite this deviation from my initial plan, I was intrigued by the prospect of acquiring diverse skills and knowledge across different domains. I view this as a valuable opportunity to expand my expertise and make the most of my time at Femto before resuming my studies.

Are there specific skills or knowledge that you acquired during your studies that you can apply in your role at Femto?

While my position at Femto may not be technical in nature, the skills I acquired during my studies prove invaluable. Throughout my academic journey, I engaged in numerous projects and undertook two internships. These experiences honed my abilities in communication, teamwork, organization, planning, and a myriad of other competencies. Consequently, I find these skills highly applicable in my current role at Femto, where I am tasked with diverse support and coordination responsibilities.

Do you have any future plans or goals you would like to achieve, both professionally and personally?

Professionally, my goal is to successfully complete the master’s program in Aerospace Engineering in the forthcoming years. Through this endeavor, I aim to delve deeper into my passion for technology and aerospace, and ultimately contribute to pioneering projects within this field. On a personal note, I eagerly anticipate immersing myself in diverse cultures through travel, fostering new connections, and cultivating a positive mindset alongside a healthy lifestyle.
