Femto has over 25 years of simulation (CAE) experience and we would like to introduce ourselves. We will dive this afternoon into the different possibilities in simulations, using high-end software applications such as Simcenter 3D, Amesim and STAR-CCM+.

That’s why on June 1st, together with Siemens DI-SW, we are going to show you that simulations have become essential in engineering of today. Creating a digital twin will give you major advantages in the overall development processes.

During the seminar, we will further show you all about the powerful solutions of Siemens DI-SW and we will give you insights on how Femto for over 25 years leverages her experience to use these CAE solutions for her customers in applying advanced digital twins.

Christophe Vandevelde
CAE Product/Business Manager BeNeLux
Christophe Vandevelde is a Master of Science over with 25 years of experience in the field of simulation. Christophe gained his first experience from SDRC/UGS which was acquired by Siemens DISW. With the acquisitions of LMS, CD-Adapco, Mentor, Culgi,… grew his multidisciplinary simulation knowledge. During his presentations Christophe is going to talk about how simulations can enhance engineering work and more specifically he is going to talk about Simcenter STAR-CCM+.

Martin Tijssens
Portfolio manager – 3D Simulations & Digital twins – CAE
Martin has a MSc in Aerospace Engineering and a PhD in numerical simulations. During his presentation, Martin will show the wide applicability of Simcenter 3D’s integral platform, with a touch on composites.

Francois Iker
Portfolio development executive EMEA – Systems simulation
Francois has a phD in electrical engineering and has already more than 10 years’ experience with simulation techniques, since 2 years focusing within Siemens DISW on system simulations. During his presentation he will show how, during the V-model development process, Simcenter Amesim can be leveraged.

Pierre Severin
Engineering Team Leader – Coexpair
Pierre has a master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering and with his 16 years of experience, he leads the Engineering team within Coexpair.
Coexpair is the reference in Europe for Net Shape Composites Manufacturing Solutions.
They are manufacturers of molds for composite products, work cells (presses) and injection systems for RTM and SQRTM. Their Engineering Services are focused on developing innovative part architectures, advanced RTM & SQRTM processes and optimal production equipment. During Pierre’s presentation, he will show us how they use Siemens CAE software during their development process.
